So... which version do you guys like best? The 33rpm or 45rpm version?

Great reissue. Love the embossed lettering and gatefold art, the extra inserts are a nice touch and the vinyl sounds excellent. Very clean pressings and the music is loud and full to these ears.

Seen quality records in the past few years. This is a piece of art from HP. I was expecting quality, but words become cliche to express this pressing. As of this post, copies still available on HP's website.

First time on 2xvinyl LP. Edited and remastered for vinyl by Masami Akita with a bonus track.

Aside from the whole ridiculous Merzcar fable this release is one of his classics. Basically it's one long 55+ minute track broken up into 4 parts. Each track carries with it the spastic jarring crashes we are so use to with Merzbow. Trash Can smashes and vocal whispers are also heard along with his typical channel switching distortion blazes. Noise done in 1994 didn't sound like this and that’s what made this release such a classic at the time. If we could only somehow squash that Merzcar story then I wouldn't feel so cheesed out listening to this, maybe.

According to Anders, the owner of The Releasing Eskimo, there was a special limited edition version of Noisembryo released in an edition of one (1) copy. It has since become known as the Merzcar. Anders states: "A while ago I had a Mercedes 230 that I didn't drive much. The police told me that I had to move it or they'd tow it away. Well, I didn't want to keep it and I didn't have anywhere to store it so I decided to use it for something else. I rigged the car's CD player with our latest release of Merzbow's "Noise Embryo" CD so that the music started when the car was turned on and it was impossible to turn it off. I put it up for sale as an extremely limited edition of the "Noise Embryo" CD but no one ever bought it, and in the end the car broke down. So we took out the CD and got rid of the car. Now I'm thinking about if it's possible to release a record in a Boeing 747..."
