mmhhh... mine seems to sound perfect. I feel some sharks would rather sell the orginal pressing for three time the prices of the repress... Will check this out on a large soundsystem.
Sagda
The sound quality on the re-press is RUBBISH. Seek out the original pressing.
Arcanescar
Great EP, but sound quality in this reissue SUXX !

One of the greatest House records of all time. I got it the day it hit these UK shores. The Joshua (Iz) track has to be regarded as the greatest work ever presented on vinyl on this label. Mindbloeing.

Apparently i am the first commenting on this one. What can i say? One of the greatest house records i've ever heard. 5/5

A version of the Abacus track can be found here:https://www.discogs.com/Kim-Beacham-True-Love-Ill-Be-There/release/195667

Such a dope record. THANK YOU FOR THE BEAUTIFUL REISSUE.

i gave this a 5/5 because it is a wonderful piece, clearly. however i would never play it because its sound is too bright for my tastes. it is a bit too garage-y for me. the vocals are brash and screaming diva-esque instead of sultry and seductive. i like brash and screaming vox, but then the rhythm and melody must balance it out. i think a great example of this is norma jean bell,s and kdj's release on prescription...although norma sang in this release and was diva like in her delivery the rhythm and melody where more jazz influenced, thus making the overall track not so super bright. in this release the melodies and rhythms go in the same direction as the vocals so although itis a CLEAR winner strictly from style and composition, personally it is too bright a sound for me. i still give it a 5/5 because it is perfect. :-)

"it is a bit too garage-y for me. the vocals are brash and screaming diva-esque instead of sultry and seductive. i like brash and screaming vox, but then the rhythm and melody must balance it out." Wtf?

The inside track on the 2 track side is one of the most unique and deep hitting house tracks of all time. I've had it close to hand for over ten years and it still affects me in the same way it did when I head it first, coz when that string arrives you would have to be a f*@kin serial killer not to be taken away by it! The other tracks are both class and worth picking up on their own but for me it's the inside one that makes this a complete classic!! And who are the nut cases who rate this 12" at 4/5?! Dudes! Pull your head out of you dark place and LISTEN!!

This is in my opinion is pure and warm deep house music as it should be. All 3 tracks are quality but for me the track with the female vocal sample "let the spirit..." is in my top 10 of all time its that good!! The track builds nicely with some lovely strings and effected guitar. No way is this an OBVIOUS house by numbers tune. Its simple but not boring, its ron trent at his most sublime,i would go as far as too say its perfect,i would never sell my copy but if you can get your hands on one grab it you will not regret it.

Imagine going to a record store in 1995 and buying this vinyl for 5.99. Three completely different sounding superb house tracks on one vinyl, which puts all your other records to shame. This record should be a lesson to all those "labels" that give us four remixes of the same track on one vinyl, which we usually buy out of boredom. Also, to all those deaf djs who rated this 4 and below: I know a record store that has all those Alice Deejay and Spice Girl(House Remixes)on you wantlist.
Nirad
I bought it the week it came out for 6.99. It got played in Back to Basics, Leeds, every week for about 6 months. Amazing record.
Bragis
damn right. respect.
Hellmaster
The best Prescription release in my opinion. Amazing stuff. One of the tracks is called "Come On" by Abacus and was reworked on the Abacus - collectors edition release also by Prescription.
