Desire (Z mix) soothingly brilliant! What I would call a Bukem tune.. Not sure I would describe the tune as darkness at all. All 3 tracks are worthy but that tune is the standout for me.

so good, every track is pure darkness, I'm surprised its at the prices its at

Absolutely tearing EP from Swift & Zinc. 'It's Time' is a tune of contrasts with the soothing female vocals and synth sections competing with pretty complex amen choppage. A very strong A-Side track. However the real surprise for me was track B1, 'Dezire (Z Mix). Starting off with water sound effects the track introduces a steady breakbeat with soulful 'hey-ayy-ay-ayyy' male vocals. Then a simple, but cheese-free, bouncing bassline enters the fray along with a thundering amen break. These in turn are then joined by oriental sounding synths making 'Dezire' a thouroughly joyous sounding track, perfectly mixing rough with smooth elements. Was well chuffed to discover that after hearing this track loadsa times on an old Peshay Mix CD, that I had actually bought and forgotten this EP way back in '95 from my record shop's bargain bin.'The Secret' is of a similar vein as the previous tracks, but with a more moody vibe to it. A well recommended EP for anyone who likes early Peshay styles of jungle/drum & bass.
