Nikojas
This is currently the only CD with 'Soul Society Mix' (apart from "Bravo Black Hits Vol. 2" compilation) and the 4.18 long 'Stargate Mix' - elsewhere they appear on 12" singles only. While the shorter versions of track 2 on CD (3.40 & 3.25) are basically edits of this mix, the end is also different. The end chorus is shorter (yes, shorter) on this longer version and doesn't have the added backing vocals.

On this second disc of APPARENTLY NOTHING remixes, Johnny Douglas gets to pull out all the stops for his R&B mix, cutting the beats in and out like a pro. Roger Sanchez puts a smooth house rub on the track (if you've heard his other mix, you know what to expect), while the Dope Smugglaz do stuttering hip-hop. Competent, but not mind-blowing.

On this first disc of APPARENTLY NOTHING remixes, Stargate goes for some digital R&B that emphasizes the vocals to great extent. The Artful Dodger, however, takes a different route, going for melodic two-step instead. Certainly more gentle and subtle in effect. Tim Simenon performs his own particular form of hip-hop magic on the track, and it emerges simplified -- and all the more powerful for it.
