I'm pretty sure that this 12" came out in 1994 .

David Gnuoy is actually Claude Young so guess we did hear from him :)

Thanks for the info Claude ! Much appreciated and like to read stories like that behind the music I love.

It's not difficult to figure out. I always love reading all the misinformation. Yes that was me I started DOW & UTENSIL with Dave Whiteside in Detroit (not Chicago like the header says). It's called DOW because those are Daves initials. Dave Peoples introduced Whiteside & I. We were all a little collective. Terrence Dixon we brought on board later. So there you have it Direct from the source. And I don't have to read this comedy / speculation / disinformation anymore. And yes I went on to make more records, im still making records and always will mr reviewer from 2011. You guys are funny....

Probably because Gnuoy is Young spelled backwards. 3 more words.

Where did you find this out, please? [three more words]

On this first Utensil release, the Terrence Dixon track is the stand-out one. The dark kick and the rolling hi-hat pattern is supplemented by a flanged synth sound and bassline which loom out of nowhere - and after a breakdown and roll it really picks up into a driving funky number. Really well made - as you'd expect from TD. The David Gnuoy tracks are less memorable - which probably explains why we've heard little from him since.
