Awesome, mature stuff from this phenomenal producer. One of my favorite guys out there. All the tracks on here succeed. The Soul mix of "You Can't take it" is a masterpiece of deepness--more for an outdoor summer feeling or an AM afterhours vibe. Killer, deep funky bassline. Some bright, psychedelic, summer-feeling synths float in. Then, when it subtly emerges, the trumpet riff is haunting, truly jazzy and bears Kuba Sojka's melodic signature. Then, from out of left field you get a non-sequiter: a big spacey synth breakdown (really unpredictable--unlike anything I've heard before in this type of track) and a new, even funkier bassline to close the track out. A beautiful, generous, soul-drenched track all the way through. I just wish the tune was a minute or two longer. The other mix of "Can't take it" is a work of art as well but more of a clubby earlier-in-the-night kind of vein. "Don't be shy" is dope, too. Best, most tasteful use of a dubstep wobble-ish bass sound in a deep house context yet. Big props to Mr. Sojka for getting it right. The synth solo work on this one shows he is no slouch with that sort of thing.Don't sleep on this brilliant deep house (with just the right portion of 'tech' smoothed over the top) release. This man is at the top of his game...or is he? maybe the best is yet to come?
