Blackbeard
Sound is very great but sometimes pops, cracks...tested 3 copies from 3 shop in the world...so all copies have same problem..this pressing is not a audiophil pressing, i think that is exactly the same than Decca (GZ MEdia) Bad press...Nice sleeve, cover but not a very good press....what a shame because great sound
Zorve
Morricone's music for this film is great but this album is unlistenable for me. The dialogue thrown throughout the record really ruins the mood and if I wanted to hear that I would just watch the movie. The White Stripes song does not fit at all. I remember watching the movie and being distracted and annoyed and I really hoped it was not going to be on the record. I'd love a version of this with only the Morricone music on it.
Viashal
i recently bought the award winning version (2016 i presume) and it did not come with a poster or the booklet, even though it states on the front that they are included! any thoughts? anyone get the same?
Kulasius
From an audio perspective only - has anyone compared the European press with the US press? Is there any significant difference noticed in the sound quality? For aesthetic reasons alone I have already ordered this version
asAS
This (Third Man) version is vastly superior to the EU/Decca version, the latter of which I sold off tonight after comparing it to this version. There is no contest. The Decca one is full of surface noise and pops. The Third Man one is totally silent. On top of that, the packaging/art of the Third Man version is out of this world. Vastly better. The crazy thing is both versions cost the same.
Enone
Still no Decca limited edition added yet. I guess I'll have to fumble through myself. Y'all take it easy on me.
Whitemaster
That's odd. The deluxe, limited edition Decca put out with the extra live performance has had darn good SQ reviews. Hmmmmm....
Kit
The box set version is available In store via third man in Detroit and Nashville.they said no online sales... aka get it on Ebay from flippers for $500 dollars. Third Man aka founder Jack White can bite a dick on that note.
Bort
Odd, mine was ordered from Amazon. Maybe the policy was reversed?
Malodora
The piano variations on Silent Night played by Bob just before Intermission does not seem to be featured in the published soundtrack. Can somebody please confirm this for me?
Vetitc
I'd really like to see the Decca version with the live recording on here. I'd do it but every time I've added something and made the slightest error or just plain didn't populate every field, I was made to feel stupid. So, if anyone is kind enough to add the Decca limited edition version, I'd be very grateful.

Do you have the official track listing? I received my copy yesterday and would be glad to try and add it, but there is no official track listing.
Charyoll
If I were more comfortable adding releases, I'd add the version with the live performance. Anyone else with more experience want to do this? I'd be happy to provide any info with my copy.

Do you have the track listing? I have a copy but not the track listing.

I am so happy buying this record. Being as a collector himself, Tarantino knows how to please the vinyl lover. What a beautiful package it has and great music. I think Tarantino is quite spot on saying that it is a dream come true when you make a western movie and Ennio Morricone compose music for your soundtrack .
Adrietius
Me to,I tried but it would take too much time,so it's on ebay
Mayno
The standard edition is one of the most beautiful packages I've ever bought. As mentioned above, it's printed with a fancy soft-touch finish, with spot varnished blood splatters. The pressing itself is excellent. The booklet is a nice bonus, as are the posters, but I can't imagine most people putting them up on the wall, so why bother? Not that I'm complaining... Seriously though, this record feels like it should be retailing for $50—it's THAT nice.
Nalmezar
How do you find the sound on your copy? Mine is pretty noise at points, debating if I should exchange it or is this just how the pressing sounds.
Windworker
EDIT: This was meant to be a reply to DefCab re: the limited edition vinyl set. It includes a hand-stamped, numbered copy of the score recorded live at Abbey Road Studio with Ennio Morricone. Only 400 sets were made available for sale; 180 remaining. Also includes a lithographic print taken at the live recording (so I'm assuming that means it is a print of a photo).
Nuadador
Only had a few minor pops and one spot where dust or something caused a repeat a couple of times, by the time I got to it it played through
Mohn
Mine is #250, and is a very noisy pressing. How is the quality on yours?
Tane
The disc itself states it is for promotional use only (on the A side), so maybe they pressed 1000, but only are selling a certain number and releasing/released the rest to the press/record stations? Mine is hand numbered 648.
Prinna
This is the quote I received some time ago from VerveMusic on Twitter regarding the numbers:"We pressed 1K, however, only 400 of them are being made available for purchase. Does this help?"I had initially pressed them for this response having contacted them earlier, they originally quoted just 200 to me until I pointed out the picture clearly showed they were numbered out of 1,000.I still don't fully understand or have an answer as to why 600 are being held back and not available, seems odd to do that, and a waste of money to press that many and not sell them.
Marad
Ok, no need to reply to me... I have the answer now as I have the limited edition Abbey Road package in my hand. It is indeed numbered and limited to 1000. It also contains the 2xLP European Decca pressing, the CD, poster, glossy print, etc.
Gelgen
In this news wire article, it states the Limited edition Abbey Road recording is limited to 1000.http://www.marketwired.com/press-release/hateful-eight-original-motion-picture-soundtrack-featuring-original-compositions-from-2083364.htmAlso, if you look at the picture on the Verve website (the only place to pre-order this), there is a picture of a booklet that says at the bottom "Number ____ of 1000".Still haven't come across any statement anywhere that it's limited to 400.
Grillador
Hi, where did you read it was limited to 400? I've searched alot looking for info about this unique recording, and didn't come across any release numbers.
Gaudiker
As of today (or maybe as if the last couple of days), the limited edition is available via Decca for preorder. It's quite steep at $130 but I'm pulling the trigger.
Runeshaper
Thats the Decca version. I'm waiting for a Thirdman Records LIMITED.
